What is hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is a form of alternative medicine that uses a deep state of relaxation, hyper-focus, and concentration to achieve a heightened state of consciousness or mindfulness.

In other words, when the physical body and the conscious mind are both in a relaxed state, the subconscious, or “inner mind” becomes highly responsive to suggestions.

This form of therapy utilizes one’s mind, in a state of hyper-suggestibility, to help change or alleviate a variety of issues and/or habits.

Hypnosis is proven to be a completely natural state of mind. Believe it or not, we go in and out of different stages of hypnosis throughout our day. Think about reading a great book, or watching an engrossing movie- anytime you’re so focused on something, whether it’s in your own mind, or on a screen, you’re in a trance-like state.

Clinical hypnotherapy has been used for many years by psychologists, doctors, nurses, and even dentists. Numerous studies and research have been done by the likes of Harvard, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, John's Hopkins, and hundreds of other prestigious medical centers and universities around the world.

What can I expect during one of your hypnotherapy sessions?

The way people typically describe the feeling of being in a hypnotherapy session with me is to be in a calm, relaxed state- both mentally and physically.

When we’re in hypnosis, we’re not actually sleeping- our minds are very active. My job is to first induce a trance state, and then guide the person by making suggestions. These suggestions are interpreted by the person in different ways through their imagination.

Hypnotherapy is guiding the mind and imagination to aid in the body’s natural healing abilities, and help understand limiting beliefs to create positive change. Most clients do not want to wake back up because it feels too good to be in the most relaxed state you can be in!

    Hypnotherapy begins with three sessions - an initial 90 minute session and two 60 minute follow-up sessions.

    Don’t want to commit to a package? SINGLE 60 minute follow-up sessions are available!

    Discovery Package

    Six Sessions - Includes one initial 90 minute session followed by five 60 minute follow-up sessions.

All sessions must be paid for prior to, or at the time of the first session. What you desire to accomplish will determine the number of sessions needed.
